Keeping up with the times...

Well, I decided that since so many people I know are doing this, maybe I would give it a try too!  I'm not sure if anyone will actually read my posts or not, but I am thinking that at the very least, this will be an excellent means of journaling!  Hopefully, on occasion, I will have a funny story or two to share.

Today is a scary day - it's the day that my son, my youngest child, got his learners license!  He goes for his first drive with the teacher on Monday.  It will be the teacher and my dad teaching him to drive I think.  It's definitely not going to be me as I'm a horrible passenger with all my paranoia about driving accidents.

I never used to be that way.  But, in 2004, when I married Ray, we were traveling on the highway to see his dad up in Biggar and we ended up spinning off the hiway and bouncing around in the ditch.  My back has never fully recovered and my paranoia has been over the top since that day.

Anyway, back to Tyson, he is quite excited to have his learners and he told me that he qualifies to take his actual driver's test July 29.  That is going to be an even scarier day!!  I am going to look around for a cheap car for him to use.  My experiences with my daughter, Kayla, have left me leary of allowing my children to drive my car.  Kayla totalled 2 cars on me - one at each end of our block!! I don't think I am quite ready to have another one totalled off!

Mom and I went for lunch as we do on most Saturdays.  I wasn't up for shopping today though.  The wind was really bad and was making my body hurt.  So, it was lunch, the drugstore and Tyson's license.  Then this eveing I watched 2 episodes of Grey's Anatomy!  They were old episodes but it doesn't matter - watching McSteamy is good no matter how many times you've seen the episode.

I love Greys....  and Private Practice. Kayla introduced them to me and now I am totally hooked!!  I did love Brothers and Sisters too but when they killed off Rob Lowe's character, it somehow lost it's charm and appeal to me.

Anyway, that's my day - pretty quiet and low key!  I love days where there is no pressure on me.  Weekends are meant for relaxing!!  I do it so well too! ;)

  1. First of all, only one of the accidents was my fault. Second, your buying him a car??? GARBAGE! Third, you are welcome for Grey's. McDreamy is where it's at though. Derek Sheppard is the highlight of my week. What a delicious man!
